TOPIC: THE PROMISED FULFILLED
Memory verse:-"Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah
what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old
age, at the very time God had promised him. Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son
Sarah bore him. When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as
God commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born
to him. Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this
will laugh with me.” And she added, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah
would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.” The child grew and
was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.”
God’s promises are real and they come true in their due time. God can never lie because he is not a man like us to lie. He said to Abraham and Sara that they will have a son and it came true in their old age because God wanted them to have him in their old age. God is wiser and he does everything for a purpose. He could have given them the baby in their youthful days but it was not God’s will, he knows the best and we ought to seek his will for our life. To us humans it was not possible and natural for persons in such old ages to have a child but it was possible with God, with him all things are possible. Nothing is too late when God is in control.
Prayer:-pray for patience for God’s promises
pray that God’s promises for your life will never pass you by
What to meditate on:
Do you have God’s promises upon your life, what role do you need to play to ensure them materialize?
