                                                                               TOPIC: IS LIFE FAIR?

Memory verse:-"These are the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt with Jacob, each with his
family: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin; Dan and
Naphtali; Gad and Asher. The descendants of Jacob numbered seventy in all; Joseph
was already in Egypt. Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but
the Israelites were fruitful and multiplied greatly and became exceedingly numerous, so
that the land was filled with them.

Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. "Look,”
he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us. Come,
we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war
breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”
                                                                                                                                 -Exod. 1:1-10

They say that life is not fair, and this is a bit controversial. But the truth remains that God is always fair. With all the good things Joseph did in Egypt his descendants did not live to enjoy from that. Because Joseph’s good works were probably not communicated to the future generation he was forgotten. The strange thing was that the new king got to know that there were Israelites (strangers) living among them but he did not find out how and why they were accommodated in Egypt.

If Joseph aimed at doing all those kindness for posterity sake then he would have been disappointed. It is wise to think of posterity but we ought to note also that we do good for Christ sake. Human behavior is not constant, that is why great people are not always remembered and rewarded but there is always a reward for goodness from God.

Do not ever think that the adoration you are getting today will remain till unknown time. There is time for everything, think of God’s recommendation more than human recommendation. There is common bible knowledge that the people who say Jesus Christ was great and powerful they were the same people who shouted crucified Him.
