QUALITIES OF A SOUL WINNER

1. You must be saved yourself.

 

a. John 3:7 "You should not be surprised at my saying, „You must be born again.” (NIV)

b. Rom. 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, „Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that
   God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
   and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (NIV)
c. John 1:12 "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become
    children of God…” (NIV)
d. Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which

1.) Deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation.

a. Deliverance from the molestation of enemies

b. In an ethical sense, what concludes to the souls safety or salvation; used of Messianic salvation

2.) Salvation as the present possession of all true Christians.

3.) Future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings that the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will
     enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and eternal kingdom of God.

 

2. You must have absolute assurance concerning your salvation. You must have your confidence grounded
    in the Word of God.

 

a. II Tim. 1:12 "That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have
    believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.” (NIV)
b. I Peter 1:3-5 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us
    new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance
    that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by Gods power

Made full by hope:
Hebrews 6:11 "We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope

Confirmed by love:
I John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does
not love remains in death.” (NIV)
 
Is the effect of righteousness:
Isaiah 32:17 "The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and
confidence forever.” (NIV)
 
Is abundant in the understanding of the Gospel:
Col. 2:2 "My purpose Is that hey may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full
riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.” (NIV)
 
3. You must have a working knowledge of the Bible.

 

(Memorize passages of scripture that will be helpful to others.)

a. I Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone
    who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (NIV)

    be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (NIV)

c. Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed form lack of knowledge.” (NIV)

   message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” (NIV)

 

4. You must live a life that is dedicated to the Lord.

 

a. Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as living
    sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the
    pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
    approve what Gods will is – His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (NIV)
b. I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
    unrighteousness.” (NIV)

5. You should not be harboring known sin in your life.

 

a. Proverbs 28:13 "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds
    mercy.”

    unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in
    our lives.”

6. You should have an increasing passion for lost souls.

    tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission.

    the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him”

    therefore all died, And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him

7. Carry an active fellowship with other Christians whenever possible.

8. You should enter the ministry of intercessory prayer.

9. You should be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led.
