                                                            TOPIC: SOLVING OUR DIFFERENCES

Memory verse:-"One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and
watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own
people. Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid
him in the sand. The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the
one in the wrong, "Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”

The man said, "Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me
as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, "What I did must
have become known.” When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses
fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well. Now a
priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came to draw water and fill the troughs
to water their father’s flock. Some shepherds came along and drove them away, but
Moses got up and came to their rescue and watered their flock.”
                                                                                                                               -Exod.2:11-17

Moses act of killing the Egyptian was a clear sign of him knowing who he was, probably his biological parents found a way to inform him secretly. It could also be that his passion for his future leadership role over the Israelites drove him to do that. But once his decisions favored the Hebrews that Hebrew man would have Saved Moses the embarrassment and exposing him to the Egyptians.

This is not to say that we have to condone evil, no! But in those times it would not have been bad for that Hebrew man to have protected Moses. He should have done it in a more sensible manner.

In our case, Christian must not wash their dirty clothes in public. When we do that it allows the unbelievers to hold us in low esteem. Finding a way of solving our differences as Christians is very important it exhibits our level of maturity.

Prayer:-pray for unity in Christendom and pray for Christian leaders around the globe

What to meditate on:
Why are there so many differences among Christians?
