MARCH 5

TOPIC: THE UNBEATABLE CHARACTER OF GOD
Memory verse:-"In the third month after the Israelites left Egypt—on the very day—they came to the
Desert of Sinai. After they set out from Rephidim, they entered the Desert of Sinai, and
Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain. Then Moses went up to God,
and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to
the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have
seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to
myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will
be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a
kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the
                     Israelites.”

So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the
words the Lord had commanded him to speak. The people all responded together,
"We will do everything the Lordhas said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the
                     Lord.”
                                                                                                                                  -Exod. 19:1-8

There are quite a number of God’s unbeatable characters in the scriptures. One of them is what we see from the bible passage above; despite His supremacy He still humbles Himself to the level of mere mortals and reason with us. He never forces His authority and command on us He gave the Israelites a condition that if they will obey and keep His covenant fully He will make them His treasured possession. God’s humility made Him wait patiently for the respond of the Israelites before He went on with His plans.

We have seen in history that at war time those who prevailed take their victims as slaves. They do everything to alert the victims that they are the champions and hold the full authority over them. God is far superior, the champion of champions yet He has respect for His creation. What a great, unpredictable and incomparable God?

Prayer:-pray and thank God for His greatness
pray for God’s humility once again
pray that you would be God’s treasured possession forever
