                                                               TOPIC: BEING DRIVEN BY JEALOUSY

Memory verse:-"When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of
her sister. So she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or I’ll die!” Jacob became angry
with her and said, "Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?”
Then she said, "Here is Bilhah, my maidservant. Sleep with her so that she can bear
children for me and that through her I too can build a family.”

So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife. Jacob slept with her, and she became
pregnant and bore him a son. Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me; he has
listened to my plea and given me a son.” Because of this she named him Dan.”
                                                                                                                                   -Gen 30:1-6

Everything is done on purpose and many people do things by funny reasons. Herein, Rachel did not desire for a child because it was necessary but because she was jealous of her sister. The driving force of our actions is very important, and most times we do the right things for wrong reasons. As Christians we ought to glorify God in our actions and thought.

Rachel was eager to do anything or everything to have a child that is very dangerous though something can be done but when it gets to the level of doing anything there is a problem. Everything is permissible but not all of them are acceptable by God. We should be careful. God’s glory must be first before we think of our satisfaction.

Prayer:-Pray about the "driving force” of your actions daily
Ask God to give you strength to avoid any negative thought concerning other people

What to meditate on:
Is insinuation Christian attitude, if yes or no why?
