TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE PEACE MAKERS

Memory verse:-"And quarreling arose between Abram’s herdsmen and the herdsmen of Lot. The

Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time. So Abram said to Lot,

"Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine,

for we are brothers. Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to

the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”

-Gen. 13:7-9

Not being blind by wealth Abram was able to manage his own family, relatives besides his faith. He gave Lot the first opportunity of choice and Lot being blind by wealth could not realize the need for giving the elder the first choice. Abram’s humility was shown by this attitude toward Lot. When both sides of the herdsmen were quarreling over space and wealth abram sought for peace. Blessed are not those who quarrel for wealth but peace makers. No wonder he was so much blessed. Abram had great qualities; when men made beauty and enjoyment on top of human life in Egypt, he Abram forgone that and sought for life so he said Sarai was his sister, again now that some people were after wealth and space he was thinking of peace. Wealth is very good but life and peace first.

Prayer:-pray for peace in your marriage, family, among your siblings and in your country

What to meditate on:

Must a Christian be wealthy more than anyone in his community? Or is wealth evil?
