TOPIC: GOD’S COVENANT AND PROMISES STAND FIRM

Memory verse:-"The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where
you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to
you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth,
so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go walk
through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.” So Abram moved
his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an
                      altar to the Lord
                                                                                                                              -Gen. 13:14-18

Though Lot chose the most desirable and fruitful land yet God’s covenant and promise for Abram did not alter in any way. God appeared to him and re-affirm his covenant and promise to Abram after Lot had been separated from him. Meaning that, the Lord’s promises for us are not to be determined by the decisions of those around us. God’s appearance to Abram also revealed that he was his portion and that is to say that material glory could fade away at any time because they are temporal but God who is our eternal glory is forever. We, sometimes, are tempted to think that all is lost or there is no hope because of what we see, hear or others decisions that affect us, but the truth is that God has the final say.

Prayer:-pray for total dependent upon God and his glory manifest in your life

What to meditate on:
What covenant do you have with the Lord and what is his promise(s)?
