                                                            TOPIC: ABRAM’S AMAZING OATH
Memory verse:-"The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for
yourself.” But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the Lord,
God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath that I will accept
nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will
never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’ I will accept nothing but what my men have
eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me—to Aner, Eshcol and
Mamre. Let them have their share.”
                                                                                                                             -Gen.14:21-24

It is very interesting looking at the intent of Abram’s oath. God blesses humanity by using a fellow being yet Abram did not want anything from his fellow man. He is right in the sense that he wanted to receive blessings with which no man can boast of as his own. As mere mortals we are found of boasting of what is beyond as and taking credits for ourselves. Herein, Abram wants God to bless him directly with the work of his hand and his thoughts. He did not want to make any man his hope but God who took him from his father’s household. Make this your life goal; no man is your hope only Jesus is your hope and helper in times of difficulties.

Prayer:-pray for blessings that no man can boast of as his own
-pray that every move or thought of your will be a supernatural blessings to you and your children

What to meditate on:
Was it a pride for Abram to reject the gifts from the king of Sodom?
