TOPIC: DO NOT WALK BY SIGHT
Memory verse:-"Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well watered, like the
garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, toward Zoar. (This was before the Lord
destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the
Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: Abram lived in the
land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near
Sodom. Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the
Walking by sight can be very deceptive; when Lot was so blind by his wealth he could not consult God before choosing the plain of the Jordan. As recorded in this passage of the bible, the plain was well watered that it was a promising one. Yet there was a difficulty behind it. We need to consult God on every move of our life, as mere mortal as we are there are so many things that may seem right but the end can be evil. It is only God who knows the end from the beginning and he is the only counselor we need. We need not to depend on our or other people’s experiences too much. Depending on God is wise. As we begin the day, the week, the month or anything let God’s direction for us prevails.
Prayer:-pray for God’s direction for your life
-pray against any deception the devil has planned for you
What to meditate on:
How can you differentiate God’s voice from human or devil’s voice?
